Skiing Area
The Sila Mountains and Aspromonte National Parks have mountains almost 2,000 metres high. Several fine ski resorts with excellent ski lift and ski rental facilities are available in Winter Camigliatello Silano (click on name for details)
1 hr drive, 70 km from San Lucido
2 ski lifts, is a very picturesque, unspoilt and environmentally protected area in the Sila National Park. It has 4 pistes, cross country trails and a sledging area built around the summit of Monte Curcio, which rises to 1,788 m. The two main downhills run for 2 km and 2.4 km respectively, and are mostly suitable for beginners and intermediates, and also suitable for snowboarding.
Also available are guided snowmobile and quad tours of various durations. There is a ski school for all abilities.
The season runs from December to April.

Lorica (click on name for details)
1 hr 30 min., 95 km from San Lucido
2 ski lifts, 3 pistes, a summit of 1,928 m, and a vertical drop of over 500 m. It also has cross country trials and is situated in the Sila Mountains.
The slopes here are situated in "Hell Valley" and these are used for the Italian National Skiing Cup.

Every Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the weekly market in
San Lucido takes place. Besides regional specialties, the traders offer Italy’s latest fashion for sale, etc., etc.
Booking Notes
A 20% non-refundable deposit is needed to secure the booking.
6 weeks prior to the holiday, the balance is required along with a refundable 200 Euro damage deposit. Please contact owner San Lucido Beach Resort Reception
Upon your arrival at San Lucido Beach Resort, you are kindly requested to contact the Reception, who will hand you the key for our apartment No. 16, and read the apartment's electricity meter.
Upon your departure, you are kindly requested to return the key to the Reception, who will read the electricity meter, determine your electricity consumption, and perform an Exit Check to make sure that everything is OK, and that you have had a successful stay at our apartment.
Upon receipt of the Reception’s report, we shall settle the 200 Euro damage deposit with you, and return the balance to you via PayPal or bank transfer.
The Reception will assist you in having a wonderful and memorable stay at San Lucido Beach Resort, and we shall all be available for help and advice throughout your stay in our holiday apartment
